STUDY BIOLOGY AND SCORE “A” IN WAEC AND NECO

DO YOU WANT TO BE A BIOLOGY GENIUS AND SCORE “A“ IN WAEC AND NECO? IF YES, PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY TILL THE END

Back then in school, biology used to be a compulsory subject for students both for the sciences and arts but now a day, there is a shift from the compulsion to a kind of optional status. Students are filled with Joy because at least they are free from that subject whose note is always bulky.

Apart from Agricultural science, I doubt if any science subject has a note as bulky as biology, but that shouldn’t be a reason for holding the subject in contempt.

Biology is real and kind of practicable, you can relate with it, like it is something that you can actually experience once it is the animal biology aspect, and students as corrupt as they are would always want to be taught the beautiful topic REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM.

Once that topic is written on the board you see students lighten up, they become happy and at home with it, they start asking questions under the guise of my friend is experiencing this, a friend of mine that.

Back then in school, I had a teacher that was so open that a classmate had an erection during the course of the class and I never forgot that experience

You would agree with me that it is easier to have A’s in physics and chemistry than in biology and students find it difficult to keep to simple basic rules of biology probably out of sheer ignorance.

In terms of drawing, according to WAEC standard, lines must be straight but most times you see students draw their lines with free hand and they expect to get scored for it, it is not possible, use your meter rule. Every diagram must be titled and most time it is untitled or poorly titled. For example if you are asked to draw the human ear, the title shouldn’t be the human ear, if you say a human ear or the human ear it simply means that you have a raw human ear which is not what you have, so the correct title becomes “A diagram of the human ear” . Also your lines must not be wavy, wooly; it shouldn’t be too thick or broken. There are also essential things that should be seen in your diagram, using the human ear as a case study, we are expecting to see the pinna, the Eustachian tube, the auditory canal, the coiled cochlea, the three division of the ear namely the outer, middle and inner ear.

In writing scientific names dearest reader, your spelling must be correct for you to have a score, and there are keywords before scores are allotted, so you may end up writing notes and yet not scored.

How do you keep yourself abreast with the happenings and information in your biology notes, constant reading; do not cease reading, keep reading until something happens (until it sticks).

Do not cram, be at home with what you have read, look at how you can relate with it as human, what is the essence of that phenomenon to human and you see yourself smiling.
