LEARN YOUR FLOW STATE.

Every one of us has a flow state, that is the state in which we tend to assimilate a lot, for it could be in the morning, some by midday, others in the evening, and some in the middle of the night, sometimes there could be a combination of two or more times but the most thing is to understand your flow state and when you are most comfortable reading and assimilating because once it is done outside your flow state, then there is a problem because you will never understand a single dim out of what you have read, causing discomfort to yourself and your entire system, but knowing the right time is beautiful and one problem is solved.

DETERMINE YOUR SATURATION POINT

It is paramount to determine your saturation point, that is the point at which you no longer understand so that you don’t end up wasting your time, what do you do at saturation point, you stop reading, sleep or involve yourself in extra curricula activities like playing games, you determine this by consistently studying the number of hours you read before becoming tired and stressed out and your brain can’t assimilate again, then read for those hours and then you can gradually increase it by resting a little, recreating yourself and going to back to your books because anything read after the saturation will actually not be stored.

  • STEP 3

DO NOT READ-ONLY ONCE

This is the fundamental point, you don’t read only once and expect to remember, that is not possible because you don’t walk through a path once and expect to be perfect, sure you can remember a few things but not all, so for you to actually be an expert in something, consistency is key, you must do it over and over so that it becomes one with, the first time you read, the information is stored in the short time memory and it easily fizzles out but when you read over and over again, it gradually becomes stored in the long term memory. You may not have read the whole text over and over, you can actually read what you have jotted and you are set.

  • STEP 4

DO NOT STOP READING

Reading is a habit that gets better over the use and interest in reading is nurtured so for effective retention, the habit of reading shouldn’t be cut short.
